Information for new Lady Members

The Ladies Section at Sweetwoods Golf Club is a thriving part of the club. All ladies are made welcome whether they prefer to play competitive or social golf.

For those who like social golf, there is a roll-up at 9.30 for 10.04 on Tuesday mornings where all ladies are welcome. A member of the Ladies Committee will be there to organise the draw so it is an opportunity for new members to socialise and play with existing members of the Ladies section.

There are two midweek qualifying competitions run each month on Tuesdays (following either a weekend medal or Stableford) so 5-day members can keep their Competition Handicap status. These can also be incorporated into the roll-up or you are free to book your own tee time and playing partners.

There are two Ladies Fun Days organised throughout the year, Spring and Christmas. These usually take the form of team events with prizes and food afterwards. They are well supported and are another great opportunity for all new members whether they like social or competitive golf.

For those who want to take a more active role and enjoy some competitive golf please refer to the section devoted to Club and Sussex County events where they will find the details of all the matches and competitions available.

It is possible to book tee times, sign up for weekend competitions and keep up to date with results etc on the website. Please see the MyGolf and Master Scoreboard sections. Contact Linda Fenner, Ladies Handicap Representative, handicap@sweetwoods.co.uk   or the office to obtain access password information. Please note that all Weekend Medal and Stableford competitions are mixed. We also play a number of mixed fun competitions throughout the year.

If you have any questions or would like further information please contact the Lady Captain, Marion Gatland, Mariongatland@Me.Com
